KYD Works is an up-and-coming NYC Hip-Hop artist, and is a force to be reckoned with both lyrically and physically. Standing strong at 6’4”, he’s a powerhouse spitting reflective rhymes with poetic fact-based storytelling, unleashing and sharing the dark and light sides of his life. Through his music and philanthropy, KYD’s mission is to inspire those who are lost to rise above and make a change for the better.

Emerging Bronx native and Westchester raised, KYD Works starting rapping at 14 years old with classic and old-school Hip-Hop and R&B influences. At the age of 22, he was incarcerated which gave him ample time to reflect and regroup. Thereafter, KYD followed through with his exit plan and uses his experiences to positively impact his community. Through a reservoir of moral strength and solace, his music moves his soul and fuels his passion to help others. And, he does this along with his signature Lost Dynasty League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, aka #LDLEG squad.
KYD Works is an active advocate of the “Don’t Shoot” organization he created with his long-time childhood friends. This organization stresses the importance of recognizing that most violence takes place due to the inappropriate use of firearms. The mission of Don’t Shoot is to eliminate gun deaths in America, and end an epidemic that is killing our people.
As a self-made Hip-Hop artist, KYD Works is also an entrepreneur. He is the founder of Alpha Fitness, LLC a professional personal training business that empowers people through effective exercise and nutrition, as well as Lost Dynasty Entertainment, a private record label that affords Hip-Hop artists and rappers skilled music production, video and photography services. Lastly, he holds the accolades of Hip-Hop Director of 88.1FM WARY, a local music radio station at Westchester Community College, NY.
